Faculty of Education Research

The Faculty of Education offers a dynamic environment for researchers and research students, with a strong network of national and international collaborative links.

The research profile of the Faculty benefits from the inclusion of researchers with expertise across all sectors of education- formal and non-formal, pre-school through to higher, adult, work based and community education. Across the Faculty there is a strong focus on research relating to the enhancement of teaching and learning and associated issues of access and social justice, with extensive collaboration with government bodies, employers, education authorities, schools, colleges, the voluntary sector, urban and rural regeneration agencies.

Staff within the Faculty belong to one of six specific Research and Knowledge Transfer Groups:

Graduate School

Our Graduate School provides an excellent environment in which to pursue postgraduate research and training. It seeks to provide the widest possible range of opportunities for disciplinary, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary postgraduate study.
