Research Qualifications

In addition to the traditional research programmes of PhD, MLitt and MSc we offer a Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD) for those who wish to engage with professionally located issues at an advanced level. Comparable in standing with the PhD, the EdD provides a coherent programme of advanced study that is both professionally relevant and academically rigorous. The programme is offered in a distance e-learning mode designed to afford high levels of interaction in a supportive community of inquiry.

The Faculty welcomes applications from students wishing to pursue international and educational research in the areas of strength and interest of its Departments and Centres.  You may also search staff research interests.

All students are given the opportunity to publish a webpage showcasing their research. Look at the research profiles of some of our students. Students are encouraged to publish their work through presenting papers at conferences and contributing to journals and books. Find out more
