Welcome

Welcome to the Graduate School for Education. Our aim is to foster research in education through taught Masters programmes, our flagship professional doctorate (EdD) and through PhDs by research, including a joint Glasgow/Taiwan PhD Programme in Education.

Currently there are over a hundred research students studying towards research masters and doctoral awards on a full and part-time basis. Find out what they are doing

The Graduate School is proud to welcome students from as far a field as Oman and Taiwan, Malawi and Poland as well as those from the immediate locality. This global mix of home and international students provides an exciting environment to study and socialise. 

The Faculty has recently celebrated a record number of  home and international students graduating with a PhD. Read more about their experience and what they are doing now.

    This innovative new programme is currently undergoing approval and accreditation by SSSC. Applications are invited for session 2009
