Statistical Problem Solving Meeting

Geoff Morgan ( NAg Ltd )

"Statistical Problem Solving Environments and Dynamic Solutions"

Synopsis: The requirements for a modern flexible computing environment for a practising statisticians will be considered. How can the required flexibility be provided to a generation not familiar with programming? How can we make use of modern software so that the results can be presented in an interactive way rather than just as a static graph or table? Ideas will be illustrated using the results from the recently completed EC funded project STABLE, and at a simpler level, considering what can be achieved with Microsoft Office.
