World-changing Campus

Our Campus Masterplan embraces so much more than additional land and buildings

Glasgow’s inspiring people have made countless contributions to our knowledge and understanding of the world around us.  Over the last five centuries, we’ve given the world the central tenets of economics; the second law of thermodynamics; the engine of the industrial revolution; antiseptic surgery; and more recently, we’ve made significant advances in a range of health fields, including diabetes, cardiovascular disorders and cancer sciences.

Today our researchers are hard at work progressing some of the most pressing questions of our time in areas as diverse as quantum technologies, the future of cities, international development, human rights, global security, sustainable development and personalised medicine.

But today’s global problems demand new ways of working. We need to bring together our best minds within large interdisciplinary research spaces that offer flexibility and stimulate collaboration. We need to ensure that the next generation of researchers, leaders and citizens also have access to the very best learning facilities - modern study spaces which benefit from the latest enhancements in technological infrastructure and connectivity.

With your support we can create an inspiring and diverse research and teaching environment that will support Glasgow’s World Changers for the next century to come.

The Learning & Teaching Hub and the Research Hub below are the first two buildings to be announced.
