The University of Pavia is one of the world’s oldest academic institutions set in the peaceful town of Pavia, near Milan, in the region of Lombardy in northern Italy. Situated only 35 kilometres south of Milan and linked by suburban rail, Pavia (originally Ticinum) enjoys the advantages and services of its near neighbour, Milan.

The University operates on a college system and offers courses in all subject areas.
