Universität Bremen (University of Bremen) is one of eleven 'universities of excellence' in Germany with a most notable reputation in political sciences, European law, industrial engineering, digital media, geosciences, microbiology, mathematics and physics. It has been a pioneer in interdisciplinary and explorative learning, social relevance and practice-orientation.
Bremen is a Hanseatic city in northwestern Germany and one of three city states. It is a major cultural and economic hub in the northern regions. While retaining its reputation as a working class city, Bremen is home to many historical galleries and museums. Furthermore it is host to many national and international companies and manufacturers.
