The Universiteit Antwerpen (University of Antwerp) is one of the major universities in Belgium, founded in 1852. It has approximately 20,000 students with 18% international students. 

Antwerp is Belgium’s second city and biggest port. In the mid-16th century it was one of Europe’s most important cities and home to the famous baroque painter Pieter Paul Rubens. Antwerp’s main attractions are its vibrant fashion and entertainment scene, along with its impressive architectural and cultural contrasts.
