University of Amsterdam, Netherlands

The University of Amsterdam was established in 1632 and is the largest Dutch university. It has produced six Nobel laureates and five prime ministers. It is consistently ranked among the top 50 worldwide.

Amsterdam ranks very highly in multiple quality of living rankings, as well as the Innovation Cities Index. It is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world and has a laid-back atmosphere to it. Its many distinguished art galleries and museums, as well as unique architecture and urban design make Amsterdam one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.
