Sigma Clermont, France

The École d’Ingénieurs Sigma Clermont (EPSCP) is a new institution, created out of a merger of two earlier institutions in the region in 2016 (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Clermont-Ferrand was the previous University partner). SIGMA Clermont is located on the Cézeaux Campus in the south of Clermont-Ferrand. Housing costs are amongst the lowest in France and it has an excellent public transport system.

Clermont-Ferrand, the ancient capital of Auvergne, is located in the center of France and well connected to Bordeaux, Paris, Lyon and Montpellier. The city is famous for the Chaîne des Puys, a chain of volcanoes surrounding the city. Clermont-Ferrand also hosts one of the world’s leading short film festivals. One of the main squares features a statue of Vercingetorix by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, who also created the statue of liberty. Beyond its cobblestoned centre, the Auvergne’s capital is an industrial powerhouse, home to the Michelin Empire.
