Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) is the largest and oldest Dutch public technological university. The university has two Nobel laureates associated with it. It is considered one of the most prestigious universities for engineering and technology and consistently ranks in the top 100 universities of the world and top 20 for engineering and technology. 

Delft is a city in the western Netherlands, beween Rotterdam and The Hague with a population of 100,000. It is famous for its historic city centre, as well as Delft Blue pottery and painter Johannes Vermeer. The picturesque medieval city centre with its many canal-lined streets makes Delft a popular destination for visitors.
