After the resounding success of Acis & Galatea at Mono, this is another collaboration between conductor John Butt and Music of the Spheres Consort. Artists, musicians and singers from the RCS, Glasgow School of Art and Glasgow University are joining forces in this unique performance of Baroque opera and contemporary music theatre. Join us for a light bodied coffee with a distinctly floral aroma and clean, flowery taste, and listen to this tale of the consumption and fetishisation of “Black Gold”, wanton women, unruly consumerism, and what other enjoyments Western Society has to offer. Starring: Sam Carl, Nora Holden, Kenneth Reid.

Admission free, donations suggested, turn up early to secure a seat or call 0141 352 4900 to book a table.

Tune in on BBC Radio Scotland, “Classics Unwrapped” on Sunday 19th April at 09.05 pm to listen to Sam Carl and Michael Wood giving you an exclusive foretaste of what is to come.
