Interested in joining a national network of student lifesavers? Then come along and train as a Stem Cell Counsellor with Glasgow Marrow on 26th September at 18:30 in the Boyd Orr Building LTA!

Glasgow Marrow is the student branch of blood cancer charity, Anthony Nolan. Our volunteers run drives on and off campus to sign up other students and young people to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register. Once on the register, these people could be asked to donate their stem cells to a person in need of a transplant to treat cancers like leukaemia.

As a volunteer, you receive high-quality training to help counsel new potential donors through the registration process, including taking swab samples.
This is a really flexible role as we run events roughly every 2 weeks - once trained, you can come along to events and give as much or as little time as you can spare to fit around your schedule.

Joining Glasgow Marrow as a volunteer not only allows you to join one of the biggest and best charity societies on campus, but you will also improve your communication, meet new friends, and have the chance to get involved with fundraising events. We also use a Volunteer Hours tracking system to reward our most committed volunteers with awards (which looks great on your CV!)

Join us on Tuesday 26th September at 18:30 to find out more and join us after for some free pizza!

If you have any questions you can message our Facebook page or glasgow@ukmarrow.org

Marrow love xx
