Conference-related excursions

 

Please note that in addition to the excursions listed below, which may be booked and paid for using the online  registration and booking form ( http://www.gla.ac.uk/events/icohtec2011/registration/), there are additional excursions which delegates may wish to arrange on their own, including, for instance, easily accessible museums such as the new Riverfront Transport Museum, the Hunterian Museums at the University of Glasgow, and Tenement House (a museum of everyday life in Glasgow). These can all be arranged at short notice and reached by foot or using public transport.  The Local Organising Committee will be making information available to delegates in due course.

 

Tuesday 2nd August pre-conference FULL day trips, depart 0900 returning to city by 1630 for opening programme. (Meals are not included in the price but there will be opportunities to purchase refreshments at the venues).

 

Bo’ness and Kinneil Steam Railway, museum and fireclay mine, plus Prestongrange industrial Museum and including views of Forth Bridges, cost £30.
