Oral Presentation Guidance
Each 70 minute time-room slot must accommodate up to 4 oral presentations. Accordingly, each will be allotted 15 minutes oral presentation and 2-3 minutes for questions and answers with minimal time allowed for moving between presenters and introductions.
Due to the tight schedule and to ensure all presenters have equal opportunity, the session chairs will be instructed to strictly enforce session times. Please do not go over the allotted time.
Audiovisual guidelines
Support your oral presentation with a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. Each oral presentation room will be equipped with:
A screen
An LCD data projector
A computer running MS Windows with MS PowerPoint installed
Only PC systems will be available
Please do not bring personal computers for your presentation
Dark printing on light transparencies is suggested
For Computer/Electronic Presentations:
Computerized presentations must be in Microsoft PowerPoint only. Support staff will be available to assist you to get your presentation up and running.
Presentations
PowerPoint presentations must be uploaded to the system at least 1 hour before the presentations. If you have an early morning presentation, please make sure that your presentation is uploaded the previous night.
Please preferably bring your presentation to the conference on a memory stick (Pen drive) or CD ROM.
If this is not possible, please Email your presentation to Dr. Nundita Reetoo (k.n.reetoo@clinmed.gla.ac.uk) by the 8th April 2008.
Handouts
Expect that there will be 50-75 people attending your session. If you need to bring handouts, bring them with you including a list of suggested readings if appropriate. Tables will be provided at the back of each room where you can display your handouts.
