Civic Reception
1 September 2009
Delegates are invited to attend a Civic Reception, hosted by the Lord Provost's Office to welcome conference delegates to Glasgow. This will take place on the first evening of the conference and will be held at Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum. The reception will begin promptly at 7.30pm and drinks will be provided. Delegates should enter the building via the rear entrance (adjacent to the car park) on the lower ground floor.
Please click on the link above for further information about this beautiful building, including location maps, how to get there, diary information about events taking place during the conference and information on the exhibitions and displays currently being shown, some of which you will see at the reception.
This is a private reception and is not open to the general public, which gives delegates an opportunity to see the Art Gallery & Museum at its best.
Please note parking is available at a cost of £1 for 4 hours.
A bus will not been provided from the event venue (Mitchell Library) to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum as it is such a short distance away. However delegates may prefer to take a No 42 bus from Berkeley Street or No's 9, 16 or 62 from Argyle Street (both streets are nearby), heading west to the Kelvingrove. The bus driver when asked can advise you where to alight. Conference staff can also advise 'on the day' how best to get there.
We hope you can join us!
