Faculty of Education
The Faculty of Education at the University of Glasgow is an exciting and stimulating place to study at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. New degree programmes include: BEd Honours in Primary Education; the MA in Primary Education offered on the Dumfries campus; the BA in Childhood Practice; and the PGDE one-year programme for primary and secondary education which offers 90 Masters-level credits. It has a robust, active and expanding research portfolio with international expertise in the areas of Adult and Lifelong Learning, Science Education, Teacher Education, Religion and Education, Social Justice and Globalisation and Education among others.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Childhood Practice has recently been accredited by the Scottish Social Services Council. - Seminar and panel discussion on Evaluating Accomplished Teaching
In this seminar, Professor David Egan reports key findings from an independent evaluation of the pilot of the Chartered Teacher programme in Wales, which commenced in September 2007. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion. Wed 3 March 2010, 2-4pm.
