About Us

The Department of Statistics of the University of Glasgow is one of the largest statistical groups in the UK. Research interests of the Department cover both modern statistical methods and high profile collaborative studies with a wide range of other scientists. The Department receives substantial amounts of research funding from external bodies and there is a wide variety of international research. The Statistics Department is part of the Faculty of Information and Mathematical Sciences which also includes the Departments of Computing Science, Mathematics and Psychology.

In the National Student Survey 2008, our final year undergraduate students expressed overall satisfaction ratings which were outstandingly high at 96%.
