Smith in Glasgow '09, 31 March - 2 April 2009

This conference marks the 250th anniversary of the publication of Adam Smith's Theory of Moral Sentiments.

Recognising the breadth of Smith's interests and range of his work at Glasgow, the conference is organised along 4 themes:

  • Smith, Scotland and the Enlightenment
  • Smith and Culture, Literature and the Arts
  • Smith and Philosophy
  • Smith and the Social Sciences
