Currently, Professor of Labour Studies and previously on extended leave of absence (2004-2007) as holder of European Commission Framework Programme 6 excellence award as ‘Marie Curie Chair’ based at the University of Latvia. Responsibility for peripatetic teaching and research on themes of European integration, migration, industrial relations and working environment in three Baltic new EU Member States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Labour standards and industrial relations in a European and Global context.
