The School of Law is one of Scotland's oldest and largest law schools.


It has an internationally diverse body of over 1,000 students.


The academic staff comprises over forty members engaged in a wide range of doctrinal, theoretical, and empirical research.

Postgraduate research students contribute actively to the intellectual life of the School.


The School is located in the Stair Building, in the main university campus.

Thommessen will offer scholarships to students at the Universities in Oslo, Bergen or Tromsø to complete a LLM in International Competition Law and Policy.

The School of Law will host a series of three public lectures on the topic of ‘Constitutionalising Employment Relations’. Gunther Teubner, Alain Supiot and Harry Arthurs will speak on 25 September, 16 October and 20 November respectively.
