Principal investigators

Associate

Research is focused on recovery processes from medical interventions, aetiology and treatment of sleep disorders and depression, and rehabilitation of cognitive and inter-personal functioning following traumatic brain injury.

Substantial investment from the Sackler Foundation in 2005 established the Sackler Institute for Psychobiological Research (SIPBR), including the University of Glasgow Sleep Centre (UGSC), and a dedicated neuropsychological assessment suite.

UGSC is a research-dedicated sleep laboratory with IP video-monitoring connections, to conduct polysomnographic and psychophysiologic assessment, using a variety of signal processing techniques including power spectral analysis. Equipment is available for home-monitoring sleep studies.
Psychiatric neuro-imaging resources including 3T MRI, radiopharmacy, MRS, SPECT, small-bore 7T MRI, and micro-SPECT.
