I am Senior Lecturer, Director of the Centre for
the Study of Perceptual Experience and Director of Postgraduate Studies. I work on philosophy of mind, psychology
and perception. I have written about representational theories of
phenomenal character, the metaphysics of mind, disjunctivism, novel colours, inverted spectra, ambiguous and impossible figures, illusions and hallucinations, synaesthesia,
introspection, cognitive penetration, and the senses. I was
a research fellow at the Centre for Consciousness in the Philosophy
Program at the Australian National University Research School of Social Sciences for the academic
year 2005-2006 and in the Spring of 2008 and 2009.
My book, Disjunctivism: Perception, Action, Knowledge, edited with Adrian Haddock has recently been published by Oxford University Press.
