Welcome to Pantomime in Scotland - a research project based in the Department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies at the University of Glasgow.

Pantomime concert wows audiences in Glasgow!

Packed houses at the Woodside Halls yesterday enjoyed a special concert screening featuring archive pantomime footage from the 1930s-1950s with live musical accompaniment played by The Orchestra of Scottish Opera and guest pianist Karen MacIver.

Royal Society of Edinburgh event

Members of the Pantomime in Scotland research project were recently invited to participate in a Summer Reception hosted by the Royal Society of Edinburgh in the City Chambers, Glasgow.

Researchers at the University of Glasgow have released a DVD of rarely-seen archive footage of pantomimes in Glasgow and Edinburgh shot during the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.
