Undergraduate Studies in Mathematics

A degree in mathematics develops clear logical thinking. The problem solving, logical and numerical skills of our graduates are highly sought after by employers in a large variety of sectors.  At Glasgow our teaching is highly rated. 96% of our final year mathematics students expressed their overall satisfaction in the 2008 National Student Survey. We're constantly changing our teaching to give better opportunities to our students.  In 2007, we created an optional fifth year on our degree courses leading to a masters. This year, a new faster route to honours allows very well qualified students to obtain an honours degree involving mathematics in three years rather than the usual four.

A Glasgow University degree involving mathematics is an esteemed degree from a historic university with a reputation for excellence.  Find out more about us from the leaflets, video and links below, or contact us via uginfo@maths.gla.ac.uk.
