IB Claimant Profiles
Incapacity Benefit Claimant Profiles
Introduction
Incapacity benefit (IB) is the key contributory benefit for people who are incapable of work because of illness or disability.
The IB claimant profiles, produced by the Scottish Observatory for Work & Health using DWP data, examine the "stock" of IB claimants and the "on" and "off" flow from 2000 to 2008.
IB Profile Content
An IB claimant overview profile and individual incapacity benefit claimant profiles for fourteen geographies are available for download.
The overview profile compares IB rates and on and off rates from 2000 to 2008 and shows the ‘bath water’ diagrams for all geographies. East Lothian, City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian are only included in the overview profile.
