‘Technological change is like an axe in the hands of a pathological criminal’ Albert Einstein
Arts and Media Informatics provides an interdisciplinary perspective on how the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) shapes our knowledge and understanding, provides new ways to view our past, present and future and influences our economic, social and cultural life. Drawing on the disciplines of Digital Humanities and Information Science, Arts and Media Informatics examines the creation of digital media, how the use of ICT can provide new perspectives for analysis, interpretation and communication, the role of ICT in cultural heritage organisations and the broader economic, social and cultural impact of the digital revolution.
The world of work is one of constant change. Our degree will help you develop valuable critical, creative and analytical skills to adapt to this rapidly changing environment. You will be able to understand and appropriately apply a range of information technologies, acquire transferable IT skills and develop skills that are highly sought after by employers such as creativity, communication and presentation, time and project management, individual and group work.
