Centre for Faith, Culture and Education
The Centre for Studies in Faith, Culture and Education was founded in 2008 and is based within the Department of Religious Education in the Faculty of Education. Its primary aim is the pursuit of research which considers the relationship between faith, culture and education.
The Centre offers a series of seminars, summer schools, conferences, consultancy and opportunities for postgraduate study and visiting fellowships in formal and informal educational contexts. These include:

Major projects currently underway in the Centre include the AHRC/ESRC project ‘Does Religious Education Work?’
At a time when the complex relationships between faith, culture and education are at the heart of international politics the Centre offers a unique hub for research which looks at the contested fields of faith, culture and education to enable us to better understanding how we may flourish one another in an interconnected age.
