Welcome to the third annual Summer School of Sociolinguistics.
First held in Edinburgh in 2009 and 2010, this five-day course offers PhD students the chance to present their research to peers and leading academics as well as attend hands-on workshops in various aspects of Sociolinguistics. Additionally, they will participate in career-building workshops designed to enhance their employability after completing the PhD.

Travel and Accommodation
Central Station, Glasgow
Glasgow is served by two major airports, Glasgow International and Glasgow Prestwick. The two major railway stations are Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street; the main bus station is Buchanan Bus Station. From Glasgow's city centre, the university is most easily located by taking the subway to Hillhead Station.
