Degree in Electronics & Software Engineering
Computers are routinely integrated into today’s organisations, industrial systems and consumer products. As an E&SE student you will develop a deep understanding of both hardware and software, preparing you to design and build the computer systems of the future. You will gain a grounding in operating systems, programming languages and databases, as well as a working knowledge of electrical circuit theory, analogue and digital systems design and digital communications. This foundation will allow you to choose from a wide range of specialist final year options spanning both electronics and computer science.
As a graduate of E&SE you may find employment in software houses, banks and insurance companies - or designing high tech systems such as communication networks, or airborne control and instrumentation systems.
The challenging degree is taught jointly with the Department of Computing Science.
