PhD topic

'Monetary and real aspects of European integration'

This thesis will discuss monetary policy in Central and Eastern Europe and the notion of 'fair trade' in a European context.

Background

Alexander joined the department in September 2007. He undertook his undergraduate studies in Economics at the universities of Mannheim in Germany, St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland and Maastricht in the Netherlands then obtained his MSc in Financial Economics from Maastricht University. He is the holder of a postgraduate research scholarship awarded by the Faculty of Law, Business and Social Sciences.

Alexander was a teaching fellow for Level I Economics in his first year. In the current academic session he teaches second year undergraduate economics.
