The Centre for Drugs Misuse Research has been wound down with effect from August 2011. The Centre is therefore not taking on any new work. The University's new Institute of Health and Wellbeing has been established to promote groundbreaking interdisciplinary research across a spectrum of health and wellbeing subjects

The University also continues to host STRADA, which is Scotland's leading national workforce development organisation addressing the needs of those dealing with the consequence of drug and alcohol misuse.
