Computing Science at the University of Glasgow
In 1957 the University of Glasgow entered the history books as the first university in Scotland to have an electronic computer. Today it is one of the foremost in the UK, setting itself the highest standards in research and teaching. It forms part of the Faculty of Information and Mathematical Sciences and was rated as one of the top 10 computing science departments in the UK in the latest Research Assessment Exercise.
