The Department of Clinical Physics was established in 1973 to practise and promote Clinical Physics in the West of Scotland. It is an NHS department with a university component for teaching and research and has bases throughout the West of Scotland. Our MSc is IPEM accredited, leading to state registration as a clinical scientist if combined with IPEM training.

The Department has several functions:

-  training in medical physics

- involvement in multidisciplinary research by applying physics and technology to advance medical knowledge.
