'S e iomairt sònraichte a th' ann an Gàidhlig @ Oilthigh Ghlaschu a chaidh a stèidhicheadh anns an t-Ògmhios 2009 nuair a tha thòisich Oifigear na Gàidhlig airson a' chiad uair aig Oilthigh Ghlaschu. Am prìomh amas an iomairt seo, 's e gus cànan agus cultar na Gàidhlig a bhrosnachadh am measg muinntir an Oilthigh air fad. 'S e dreuchd dheuchainn fad dà bhliadhna a th' aig an Oifigear Gàidhlig air a mhaoineachadh le Bòrd na Gàidhlig, Riaghaltas na h-Alba agus Comhairle Maoineachaidh na h-Alba.

Gaelic @ the University of Glasgow is a unique and newly established initiative which began in June 2009 when a Gaelic Language Officer was appointed to the University of Glasgow for the first time. It is a 2 year pilot scheme aimed at promoting Gaelic language and culture to the enture University community and is funded by the Bòrd na Gàidhlig, The Scottish Government and The Scottish Funding Council.
