The School for Cancer Studies provides a forum to facilitate co-operation in cancer-related research between the University and its associated Institutes and Hospitals.
The primary aims of the School:
- Promotion of basic and clinical research, particularly multidisciplinary studies.
- Fostering of collaboration and networking
- Organisation of interdisciplinary seminars and meetings

The purpose of this meeting is to introduce key aspects of nurturing a healthy career in academic cancer research with hints on how to further progression.
Or ... How to have a career trajectory where training & skills meet employer needs!
This meeting is open to all interested parties and is particularly relevant to post-doctoral reseachers, lecturer level staff, PhD students and clinical trainees. Senior staff are also very welcome as their experience and viewpoints are valued.
We aim to keep the meeting informal and there will be considerable opportunity for discussion. We would also like to invite you to the buffet to be held before the meeting.
