How much does part-time study cost?

There is always somewhere to turn to for help if you are worried about your finances. (Alex O'Brien, 3rd year Science)

All courses are credited, usually in multiples of 10. The tuition fee charged for studying part-time depends on the number of credits you choose to study.

Fees in session 2012-13 are £214 per 20 credits; so if you were to study 80 credits the total fee would be £856. The fees increase marginally every year and cover registration, tuition, the use of laboratories etc. and entry to the degree examinations appropriate to your studies.

How can I pay?

If you are paying your own fees, there are various payment methods to suit your financial circumstances. It is possible to pay the full amount of fees before or at registration or fees can be paid by instalment.

Further information about methods of payment for part-time and self-financing students can be obtained from the Registry (Tel: 0141 330 5378).
