The course familiarises students with the interactions between continental and Scottish thinkers and writers of the period and, using the Bibliography of Scottish Literature in Translation, charts the reception of Scottish Enlightenment thought across Europe.
The course will require 20 contact hours, but these hours will be a bespoke mixture of lectures, seminars, individual tutorials etc. These will form part of the overall 200 hours of learning, carried out by a mixture of exercise work, private study and reflection.
