We ask that each participant raises £50 for their chosen fund, and we aim to cover as many Munro's as possible between participants.

All the funds raised will be injected straight into our cancer research projects in Glasgow.

The start fundraising you can set up your own JustGiving page, selecting ' University of Glasgow' as your nominated charity.

Funds to chose from are:

1. Beatson Pebble Appeal

3. Prostate Cancer

4. Think Pink Scotland (breast cancer)

5. Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre

6. Brain Tumour Research Fund

Sporting Events

The Beatson Pebble Appeal organises events, but in addition to these you can fundraise by taking part in an Open Challenge; an organised event in which you can choose who to support.

One of our loyal fundraisers, Ian Rutherford from Largs, has raised thousands of pounds for Cancer Sciences by taking part in the Dublin, Amsterdam and Brussels Marathons.

A list of great open challenge events can be found here:

Social Events‌

Support Cancer Sciences at the University of Glasgow by organising your own Happy Cafe event, pub quiz or Glitter Ball.

Our fundraising ambassadors are fundraisers who have first-hand experience in organising the event of their choice. They can support you with practical advice, tips and contacts.

Hilda de Groot, our Community Fundraiser is also on hand for anything you need in the run up to your event.

We often hear how supportive friends and family are when someone decides to organise a social event. Why not try it and see how much you can raise?
