1+3 PhD Studentship funded by the ESRC from September 2011 (Economic and Social History)

Applications are invited for a 1+3 studentship attached to the ESRC-funded project 'The Development of International Financial Regulation 1961-1982'. The research project for this studentship will be focussed on the 1982 developing country debt crisis and will involve some travel to archives in London and Washington D.C..
The student will be supervised by Professor Catherine Schenk at the University of Glasgow.
The terms of the studentship are identical to other ESRC-funded awards; fees and stipend will be covered for the successful applicant. Additionally, funds will be available for some travel to relevant archives. In their first year of study, the successful applicant will undertake an MSc in economic history at the University of Glasgow.
