About your degree:Structure of the Master of Arts (Social Sciences) degree
During your academic career at the University your choices of courses must fit the required structure of the degree. Within the MA (Social Sciences) degree programme there are three degree structures, the Joint Honours degree in two subject areas, the Single Honours degree and the Social Sciences General degree. These are shown in the following chart. At the start of your first year you only need to choose your first year subjects. You should also look ahead to see how you can include all the subjects that you may want to study in your timetable and also whether you may need to meet special requirements for particular degrees. Please try to select three subject courses for Year 1 before you meet your Adviser of Studies for the first time.
