College of Science and Engineering Scholarships 2017

The College is home to more than 700 PhD students working on a wide range of research projects.  Research in the College ranges from the core disciplines of Chemistry, Computing Science, Engineering, Geographical and Earth Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics and Astronomy, and Psychology to interdisciplinary areas such as materials, nanotechnology, sensors and systems biology. 

We are also involved in multidisciplinary research on the societal issues such as energy and sustainability, transportation, health and ageing. There are exciting opportunities to undertake cutting-edge and innovative research in our advanced facilities, not only in established disciplined-based areas, but also in cross-cutting research themes where our core strengths are combined, such as digital economy, energy, healthcare technology, sensors and intelligent imaging, sustainable high-value manufacturing and underpinning capabilities.

Funding Notes:  Funding is available to cover tuition fees for UK/EU/International applicants, as well as paying a stipend at the Research Council rate (£14,254 for Session 2016-2017 - to be confirmed).
