These scholarships are aimed at promoting new collaborations between groups, and will enable the Postgraduate Research student to work in internationally renowned laboratories or research environments (including field work).
Applications are particularly encourged for awards which either enable the student to be introduced to new methords, or which provide a research environment (including infrastructure and equipment) that is substantially different from that in Glasgow.

Where the applicants are able to demonstrate a financial contribution to other aspects of support, either from exisiting funds or from Schools, or from the host laboratory, this should be clearly stated.
