Welcome

'MyCampus' is the student information system for the University, which allows students and staff to view and update online student records. All students will use MyCampus to register with the University and to enrol on courses and classes. Before you can enrol on any courses, you first have to complete both Academic and Financial Registration. Full details of the Registration process, including more details about fee sponsorship, can be found here.

MyCampus

Once registered, you can begin to enrol on courses and classes using MyCampus. Throughout the year you will access MyCampus to see your class and exam timetables, record any absences you may have, amend your enrolments during the add/drop period or check your assignments and grades.

Access to MyCampus is through the student portal, MyGlasgow. Links to MyGlasgow are on the current students’ web page, direct from here, or as a link at the bottom of most University web pages.

MyGlasgow

MyGlasgow is the University’s student portal. It provides direct access to University web services including MyCampus, Webmail, Moodle, Library Account, IT Helpdesk and Sport Online. It also provides student news, help, support and guidance, and links to other web pages.

Login to MyGlasgow using your Glasgow Unique Identifier (GUID) and password which has been sent to you separately in your “Access to your Student Account” email.

Your annual tuition fees (and bench fees, where applicable) are as stated in your formal letter of offer. The Graduate School has the right to correct tuition fees and/or bench fees, where necessary.

If you have any queries at this point, i.e. before you begin the registration & enrolment process, please email mvls-gradschool@glasgow.ac.uk or telephone the Graduate School on 0141 330 5800; we will be happy to help.

Enrolment

Your programme of study will either have a fixed curriculum, or you may be able to choose your courses from a range of specified options.  If you have a fixed curriculum, you will be automatically enrolled on your compulsory courses and allocated to a class section ("Block Enrol").  If you are able to choose from a series of options, you need to enrol via a process called MyRequirements within the MyCampus system.  MyCampus provides guidance to help you select a suitable curriculum for your Academic Level and Academic Plan.

To find out whether you are eligible to enrol via block enrolment or through MyRequirements, please check your programme of study in the tables below:

  • Block enrolment programmes
  • Programmes with optional courses

Please note that if you are a Postgraduate Research student, you will be automatically block enrolled onto your programme of study.

If you have any queries during the enrolment process, go to Help & Support on your My Glasgow Portal.

Programmes with optional courses

If you are due to commence one of the programmes of study listed in the table below, you will be able to choose some of your course choices.  MyCampus provides guidance to help you select a suitable curriculum for your Academic Level and Academic Plan. The My Requirements tab describes overall course, grade and credit requirements.

Please note:

  • If you want to change your Academic Plan you must speak to your Adviser of Studies before enrolling on courses, as your requirements may be different.
  • You are responsible for selecting an appropriate curriculum and enrolling on it in a timely fashion.
  • Places in classes will be available on a first-come-first served basis so early enrolment is recommended.
  • To ensure that you enrol on appropriate courses select My Requirements and click on Search. This will show you a detailed list of the course enrolments required to successfully complete the year on your chosen Plan. Select the courses into which you wish to enrol. You will then select the classes you wish to attend (e.g. tutorials, lab sessions).
  • It is possible to switch class sections or drop/swap courses after you have enrolled up until 30 September 2013.
  • Your timetable will be automatically created in MyCampus when you enrol on classes and updated if you change enrolments. Find your timetable in the Enroll tab or directly from your Student Centre.

Support and guidance is available online which can show you how to navigate the enrolment process in MyCampus. This support and guidance material can be found at your MyGlasgow portal at: www.glasgow.ac.uk/students/myglasgow.
