THE COLLEGE OF ARTS SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION FOR 2013 ENTRY IS NOW CLOSED
The College of Arts is delighted to be able to offer ONE FULL Scholarship for an international student undertaking a doctoral programme in the College of Arts Graduate School in session 2013/14. International students are also eligible to apply to the main College of Arts PhD Scholarship Competition although the value of these Scholarships is different. All scholarships will include around 4 hours per week of internship duties.
Applications from new and continuing students are ranked by School committees and then considered by the College Scholarship Committee.
Elibility criteria for the International PhD Scholarship:
- Applicants must hold an unconditional or conditional offer of a place on a College of Arts PhD degree programme prior to the scholarship application deadline (1 March 2013). Admissions applications must, therefore, be submitted in full by Sunday, 10 February 2013 at the very latest.
- Applicants must not be holding another full Scholarship for the 2013/14 academic session. Applicants holding a part scholarship (e.g. fees only or stipend only) may still be considered.
- Only International students are eligible to apply.
- Both new and continuing students may apply.
How do I apply for a Scholarship?
All students, including continuing research students, wishing to be considered for a Scholarship should complete a Scholarship application form. Please ensure that you read the Guidance Notes for Applicants carefully before attempting the application form.

What is the value of the International PhD Scholarship?
This scholarship offers an annual stipend of £10K, plus tuition fees at the International rate.
What is the deadline for applying?
Applications must be submitted to the University by 1 March 2013. Applicants should expect to hear about the outcome of the competition by the end of May 2013.
