The UK Vegan Society defines veganism as "a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude - as far as is possible and practical - all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment."
We continue to champion vegan causes in the University - see our aims section. VSUG is open to staff and students of the University. We welcome vegans, aspiring vegans, supporters of veganism and animal welfare, and supporters of the provision of vegan food. For further information about the Society and how to join contact Karen at vegan-info@glasgow.ac.uk.
