October 2007: The Sunflower standard award to the University makes headlines in the University News Pages and in the Scotsman.   October 2007: Students living at Wolfson Hall of residence approached the catering manager this month requesting that vegan food be served. In response the vegetarian option is sometimes vegan but, when it is not, staff are cooking vegan meals for those who request it. There also seems to be more vegan condiments available such as soya milk and suitable margarine. We are delighted and would like to see further developments. 10 October 2007 - first meeting of the year in The 78. A vegan menu is on offer. November 2006: The John McIntyre cafe now offers a range of sandwiches suitable for vegans. This great result follows from dialogue that we have had with the catering staff. Please support the cafe and inform them that you are there because of their vegan provision.
