4 November 2010: Talk by Seb of Dub'n'Grub, 5pm, followed by Dub'n'Grub, at The 78.

3, 10, 17, 24 November 2010: Weekly drop-ins continue, Wednesdays, 2.00pm. We meet in the food area of the HUB and take one of the big wooden tables next to the windows which are at the right hand side of the room as you walk in. These 'drop-in' meets are simply for any member to drop by for a chat about anything! We can offer advice and answer any questions you might have at these meet ups, and we also discuss and organise fundraising ideas and dinners etc. at them.

1 November 2010: World Vegan Day dinner, Mono (50% off all dishes for WVD), 7pm.

October 2007: The Sunflower standard award to the University makes headlines in the University News Pages and in the Scotsman.

  October 2007: Students living at Wolfson Hall of residence approached the catering manager this month requesting that vegan food be served. In response the vegetarian option is sometimes vegan but, when it is not, staff are cooking vegan meals for those who request it. There also seems to be more vegan condiments available such as soya milk and suitable margarine. We are delighted and would like to see further developments.

19 December 2006: Hospitality Services host a Christmas Lunch at One A, The Square. A vegan menu is on offer.

November 2006: The John McIntyre cafe now offers a range of sandwiches suitable for vegans. This great result follows from dialogue that we have had with the catering staff. Please support the cafe and inform them that you are there because of their vegan provision.

Wednesday 1 November 2006: Celebration of World Vegan Day at Mono at 5.30pm.

24 May 2006: Permission granted from the Secretary of Court of the University for the staff Vegan Society

17 May 2006: Hospitality service provide vegan lemon wafer sandwich biscuits in a buffet

5 May 2006: Granted permission by the University's Clubs and Societies Committee to have a stall for the Vegan Society at the Freshers' Week Fair in September 2006

28 March 2006: Applied to the University Court Office for permission to officially form the staff vegan society.

28 March 2006: First version of The Vegan Society of the University of Glasgow webpages go online

22 March 2006: Hospitality services provide the first handmade vegan biscuits in a buffet

20-24 February 2006: Vegan Menu provided by University Catering Services for Diversity week.
