The Snooker Club is one of Glasgow University's newest clubs having only been
established in 2002. Nonetheless, it is one of the most rapidly growing clubs
with over fifty members. The Club is one of the University's most successful clubs in many regards
having won the British University Team Event and Individual Event in 2004 and with several other semi final and
final appearances in recent years. As a result of the amazing success enjoyed at BUSA in the season of 2004,
the Club is also delighted to be current holders of the Glasgow University Sports’ Association ‘Team of the Year’ award.
The snooker itself is played in the Glasgow University Union which is home to the
best student snooker hall in Britain. Armed with these facilities, the club endeavours
to help the students at Glasgow enhance their enjoyment of snooker, make new friends and even get the chance to perform
at university level and beyond if desired.
