The Glasgow Film Theatre is presenting a double bill of Resnais's two firstfeatures -Hiroshima mon amour and L'Annee derniere a Marienbad - this
coming Sunday at 1 pm. A rare chance to view these masterpieces on the big

Wednesday 18th October: Glasgow French Meetup Group - The Edge Bar at 8.00pm
The Glasgow French Language Meetup Group is a group that meets monthly, with the aim of letting people of all levels of French get some valuable speaking practice. If you want to improve your French by chatting in a relaxed (bar!) atmosphere please visit the website or just come along to the next meetup.
Thursday 23rd February: Crawl D'alchool - Oran Mor at 8.00pm
Crawl D'alchool around the West End starting at Oran Mor at 8.00 (In the main bar) and followed by the Buddha Bar, Bonhams and Brel (ring Claire on 07835200622 to find out where we are if your joining us later). We'll be drinking anything and everything French!

Saturday 4th of February 8.30pm - Masquerade party:
We just wanted to invite you to a Masquerade Party on the 4th of February at Claire's flat : no 144 Woodlands Road, Flat 2/1 ( DON'T buzz the other flat SVP) from 8.30 onwards. Any problems with finding the flat then ring Claire on 07835200622.
There will obviously be drinks courtesy of us but please bring along a bottle of wine (or something more potent if you so wish?!) as there can never be too much to drink!
If you are struggling to find a mask then we have an emergency mask making pack on the door. Prize for the best mask is a famous bottle of French Society wine! Competition so far comes in the form of Maverick from Top Gun!

Saturday 28th January - VEGAS
Just to let you know that a group of us are heading to Vegas on the Renfrew Ferry on Saturday night. We'll be meeting at mine at 8.30 (give me a ring on 07835200622 if you don't have my address) to have a few drinks before heading there.

Thursday 24th November, 4pm in Modern Languages Building (MLB)
Wine and Nibbles event for everyone and especially a chance for second years to have an informal chat to honours students about the year abroad: Planning, Organising, Where to go, What to do - advice from people who've been there and done it!
Friday 18th November, 8.30 Oran Mor
We are going to test our stomachs to the limit with our Crawl D'alchool around the West End starting at Oran Mor at 8.30 (In the main bar) and followed by the Buddha Bar, Bonhams and Brel. We'll be drinking anything and everything French! The person who is still standing at the end of the night will win a bottle of wine (to drink on another night)!
Wednesday the 16th November - 6pm, Glasgow Film Theatre (Rose Street)
We are going to see the film "The Beat That My Heart Skipped" (De battre mon coeur s'est arrêté) at 6.10. The film we be introduced by Jonny Murray from the Edinburgh College of Art. We will meet outside at 6 and we'll be going for drinks afterwards.!
Saturday 12th November 05
The French Society are going to Vegas on the Renfrew Ferry! We are going to meet at my (Society President Claire's) house at 8.30 for drinks before we go. It is a really good night, so get suited and put on your dancing shoes and come with us!
