Membership

Club Membership

£40 per year or £20 per half year

All club income goes towards the upkeep of club kit, paying coaching costs, competition entry fees, and also subsidises travel and accomodation for all members competing at competitions.

As with all other GUSA sports clubs, you must be a member of the SRS (The Stevenson Building) before you can join the Fencing Club. This is for insurance purposes.

We provide kit for all beginners although experienced fencers may wish to purchase their own.

Membership Deadline

As we appreciate that £40 is a fairly expensive membership fee, we don't ask you to pay until you have had a chance to try the sport. As such, all novice and beginner fencers get four training sessions as a trial period, for both the club and sport, to see if it's for you before the full membership is required.

British Fencing License

approx £40 per year

To be able to fence in competitions you must hold a British Fencing Licence. This is generally available for purchase at competitions but can be bought from British Fencing at any time.
